The hostels for solo travellers in Hong Kong

Searching for accommodation could be a tired task, since there are over thousand chioces in Hong Kong. For backpackers or solo travellers who want to save money, staying in a hostel is a good option. All you can get is affordable price, good location and clean bedding. Below is the list of hostels that I recommended in Hong Kong.

1. YHA Mei Ho House

Mei Ho House was used to be the housing for poor people in Hong Kong, which is a historic building in Sham Shui Po. Now it becomes a features modern and comfortable accommodaion. And there is a small museum about the history of Mei Ho House in 1/F.
The room is big and well-equipped in Mei Ho House. It is clean also. And there is a open-top balcony garden in 2/F with chairs which is so relaxing.
The location of Mei Ho House is a bit far from the MTR station, 15 minutes walk probably. However, there are so many local foods you can get around, no matter local food, street food and dessert. No way to be hungry in this place.

2. Hop Inn@Mody Road

Hop Inn is located in Tsim Sha Tsui, the busiest area in Kowloon. It takes 5 minutes walk to Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station and bus stations, 10 minutes walk to the Star Ferry Pier. You have no worry about the transportation. Also, many shopping centres, restaurants and museum nearby. You never get bored in this place.
Well-designed is one of the feature of Hop Inn. They invited lots of local artists to design the room so every rooms have their own style.
The room is big and clean. They offer a plug and a reading light in every bed which is very convenient. The reception is working for 24 hours and the staff are good in English.

3. Check Inn HK

The hostel is located in Wan Chai. It takes 5 minutes walk to get to Wan Chai MTR station. Also, you can find many local restaurants and bars around the place.
The room and the bedding are definitely clean. You have your own locker to keep your personal belongings. And they have a big and comfortable common area where you can chat with people. The staff are nice and speak good English. If you have any questions about your travel, they would be happy to help you.
And the hostel organizes so many events every week, such as local hiking, horse racing night and pub crawl. Many changes to get to know about Hong Kong.

4. Yes Inn@Causeway Bay

Yes Inn probably is the biggest hostel in Hong Kong. And there is a roof-top garden and a big balcony, good for taking a rest during the travel. The lobby equipped with desktop computers and a massage chair.
The staff are helpful and speak perfect English. And the reception provides 24 hours service.The room is not big but clean. Everyone has their own electric locker.

As a highly recommended hostel, it is close to Causeway Bay MTR station, only 5 minutes walk. And the bus station is just in front of the hostel.
